Seeking to make a positive contribution for all Angelenos, these VCs along with the Annenberg Foundation and the Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti began to convene tech industry leaders around an industry-wide effort to benefit the city of Los Angeles. This summer, PledgeLA will host its third annual summer VC internship with HBCUvc – while also helping to provide talent and support for three other regions launching similar internships across the US. PledgeLA will also conduct its third-annual survey of tech companies and VC firms, now refined to reflect the new challenges these PledgeLA members have immediately responded to the problems highlighted by the survey by launching the first-ever citywide VC internship program which begins this summer in Los Angeles. 2020-10-09 · And in the summer, they work with AnnenbergTech and PledgeLA to host a venture capital internship which places Black and Latinx interns at esteemed VC firms like Stat Zero and Crosscut Ventures.
